Kakobuy QC photos against the written inspection rule

Kakobuy QC is a visual inspection of the item received in the warehouse. Compare the model, colour, size and visible condition with your order; the photos do not establish authenticity or the operation of electronics.

What Kakobuy’s inspection covers, in its own words

Start with the source. The rule below was read on 10 October 2026 and has no publication date on the page.

Kakobuy help article 89 text on inspection rules of purchase service orders with a three-point disclaimer
Help article 89, “Inspection rules of purchase service order”. Read on 10 October 2026.

Help article 89 is short enough to quote nearly whole. Kakobuy “will only arrange inspection for product’s appearance, likes model, style, and size.” If the product is not a garment, bag, suitcase or shoe, or arrives sealed, it will not open the wrapping. Its disclaimer adds that household appliances, digital products and other electronics get no check of “authenticity, function, and quality”.

Everything else people attach to the word QC sits outside that paragraph: stitching judgements, smell, material feel, whether a logo is right, whether a battery holds charge. You can still learn some of those from a good photo. You cannot hold Kakobuy to them.

QC talk and the official line, three ways

The three claims below are the ones that most often turn into a support ticket.

Heard in first-order threads

“QC passed, so it’s good.”

Written by Kakobuy · help 89

Appearance, model, style, size. Nothing about function or authenticity for electronics.

Conflict Scope. A pass means the warehouse saw the right item in the right size.

Heard in agent comparisons

“QC is free with Kakobuy.”

Written by Kakobuy · help 79

“Free inspection & consolidation fee” is listed among what is special about the service.

Official Cost. Correct. The free part is the standard photo set; close-ups are paid.

Heard in haul posts

“They’ll check the freebies too.”

Giveaways are inspected only if you remarked them on the order; either way their quality is outside after-sales service.

Conflict Gifts. Remark the gift when you order, and still do not plan around it.

Kakobuy’s own diagram of the step sits further down this page, beside the user-centre screen where the photos appear.

How to check QC photos on Kakobuy, in order

Kakobuy puts photos under User Center → Warehouse, labelled “QC Picture”. That label is the official side using the community word, and it is worth reading literally: these are pictures, taken at intake.

  1. Check the specification first: colour name, size label, quantity. This is what the inspection is for, and a mismatch here is the strongest case for a return or exchange.
  2. Check the size tag or measurement if one was photographed. If it was not, a Personalized photograph of the measurement costs CNY 2.
  3. Look for visible damage: stains, tears, broken zips, crushed boxes. Appearance is in scope.
  4. Then form your own view on finish and detail, knowing that this part is your judgement and not Kakobuy’s.
  5. Decide inside the window. The clock is described below and it is short.

Posting the photos for a community vote is fine. Just do it early, because the vote does not pause the clock.

The 120-hour return window behind every RL vote

Kakobuy submit waybill screen with address, product list with Remove Tag and Remove Packaging switches, and packing options
The waybill screen shows the Remove Tag switch. Removing tags also removes the item from the 5-day guarantee. Amounts shown are the operator’s example values.

The community word RL hides an official deadline. Kakobuy’s 5-Day Return/Exchange Guarantee (help 51) is the seller’s service on the original platform, relayed by Kakobuy, and you must ask within 120 hours of the order status changing to “Stocked in”.

Several things are excluded outright: custom-made items, products with removed tags, second-hand goods, products from outside mainland China, undergarments, food, books and opened “Special Standards” products. The fee is the shipping to the seller, the shipping back and a return or exchange service fee that rises with how many requests you make in a calendar month: none for the first, then CNY 5 for a return or CNY 10 for an exchange from the second to the fifth.

So a thread that takes three days to vote RL can leave you with two days to file. Vote fast, or skip the vote when the photo shows a plain specification error.

Extra photos: the official names and prices

When the standard set is not enough, the official route is the Personalized photograph: CNY 2 per piece, returned within 24 hours (help 114). Ask for one specific thing per photo, a tag, a measurement against a tape, a sole, a serial number area, and write it in plain English.

Kakobuy also offers a parcel photo service when you submit: three free photos if you tick the option (help 118): the items placed in the box before sealing, then the sealed parcel and its weight. Useful for checking nothing was left out; it is not a second inspection.

What none of these services will do is confirm a brand. For that question the official answer is in the anti-counterfeiting policy, covered on its own page.

Paragraph of Kakobuy help article 124 describing the Share W2C function that generates product titles, prices, links and QC photos
From help article 124: the same photos can be pushed into a shared post with “Share W2C”. That makes them community material, which is how warehouse photos end up in vote threads.

Use a specific photo request

A general photo may show colour and condition without establishing size. If fit is the uncertainty, request the measurement you need and explain where the tape should start and end. Compare that measurement with a garment that fits you, using the same method. A label alone does not confirm garment dimensions, and an extra photo does not extend the return window.

A useful request for a hoodie is “lay it flat and measure the chest from one underarm seam to the other, with both tape ends visible”. That is a flat width, not the wearer’s chest circumference. Save the seller’s chart beside the new photo and compare like measurements. If the chart and photo use different starting points, ask for clarification instead of treating the numbers as a confirmed mismatch.
